Apartment-Wear You've Been Dreaming About

I think one of my biggest dreams is to have an adorable apartment or home one day. So, I've been letting myself dream. I want a coffee table that I can put cute books on. I want a bathtub so I can use bath bombs all the time. And no, I do not have a bathtub right now *cries*. I want the whole place to be funky and minimalistic at the same time. But, for now, I'm living in a dorm, so I decorate the best I can; I make do with my little bamboo plant and framed photos.

Decorating my dorm has made me excited to have a (bigger) place of my own someday. All of this has also reminded me of my dream in 5th grade to be an interior designer. I was obsessed with cutting  different things out of PBTeen catalogs and pasting them together on another sheet of paper to create a whole new room.

My taste when it comes to interior design is the same as it is for fashion: minimalistic yet fun and unique. Here are some dorm photos so you can see what I kind of mean by that.

But now, for the fun part! Super cool stuff I will fill my future apartment with. What do you think of these items? What do you hope to have in your future place? Or, if you already have a place of your own, what is your favorite piece of furniture or room?

Until next time,

  1. Wow! We both have the same taste. I would also love to have my own apartment. I'll set it like a bedroom/studio. The items you've picked are perfect and I believe they'll look good with your minimalist design. The stand alone tub is perfect. :)

  2. I really love the rug and the pillow. We also have similar tastes in home decor. Definitely one of my life goals is to have a cute place decorated entirely to my taste.

  3. Having an off-campus apartment has been great but I'm with you, I'm totally itching to graduate in May and get my own place that I can decorate with my own things!

  4. Aww you have such a cute dorm room! I'm moving into one next year and I'm hoping it'll look as cute as yours...it'll probably just end up being really messy though! x

    1. Hey, Georgia! I'm sure your dorm room will be so cute! I'm going to be writing more dorm posts throughout the year, especially when it gets closer to move-in for new Freshmen. I hope those will be some help to you in the future. It's good to have an organization plan coming into college. I'm not the most organized person all the time, so I make sure to pick things up and put everything away every few days.
