Inspired by Disney World

I wanted to do something a little different after taking a week hiatus from blogging to go on vacation. Some of you might know from Twitter that I was vacationing in none other than the happiest place on Earth: Disney World. I took my time there to detox from school, blogging, and the cold midwest and I also was able to reflect on my childhood while conjuring up new plans for the future.

"Travel and change of place impart new vigor to the mind." -Seneca

It was crazy to go back to a place that I had been so many times in my childhood. I honestly hardly remembered any of it, but it brought me back to a worry-free time in my life.

I use to run through the gates with my family in order to be the first one on the Dumbo ride. I love the bright colors of each elephant on the ride, even though they have re-painted them since I was there last.

Not only did I ride just about everything there, but I also got to see all my favorite characters again!

Tigger and I go way back...

At the end of the day, Disney World was not only a refreshing place to experience once again, but it was a great adventure with the most important woman in my life: my mom. To put it simply, we had a lot of fun riding coasters like Expedition Everest and had amazing meals at places like Teppan Edo in Epcot and Morimoto Asia.

But I think she was getting annoyed with how many characters I just had to see and take pictures with. *wink*.

In another way, I think travel also inspires style. I know I felt this way walking through the different countries of Epcot. Morroco had traditional belly dancing garments, Japan had kimonos everywhere, and Mexico with beautifully embellished sombreros.

Fashion and style is very much connected to culture and this is not something I often realize. So, in reflection of this, I put together some Disney themed outfits. OK, I know Disney isn't a culture, but if you plan to visit soon, these outfits could definitely come in handy.

Grey Top (similar). Skirt (similar). Adidas Originals. Rosehound Patch. Phone case (similar).

Dress (similar). Adidas Originals. Leather tote (similar). Earrings. Choker. Sunglasses (similar).

Blouse. Bralette (similar). Jeans (similar). Sneakers. Saddle bag (similar). Earrings. Necklace. Phone case. Scrunchie (similar).

I hope you enjoyed this travel and style post. Let me know if you want me to more like this!

Have a wonderful day,
